Real Times Inc. is the owner and publisher of the Chicago Defender, the largest and most influential black weekly newspaper. Real Times publishes the Defender daily in Chicago and also operates three other regional weekly newspapers: the Tri-State Defender in Memphis, the Michigan Chronicle in Detroit, and the New Pittsburgh Courier in Pittsburgh. Real Times' papers have a combined circulation of approximately 175,000 every week.
